Like most products from Tactical Support Equipment, the idea for the Antenna Switch came from the battlefield. The typical user is kitted up with radios, headsets, push-to-talk switches, vest antennas and it all works wonderfully, until the user gets into an armored vehicle, or wants to use a different type of antenna, or….the scenarios are endless.
The antenna switch allows the user to easily connect their handheld radio to a vehicle or SATCOM antenna without disconnecting their primary whip or vest worn antenna connected to the radio.
The Antenna Switch is offered with a BNC or TNC connector on the side port. The BNC version offers speed and commonality with most antenna systems, while the TNC version provides a secondary port for other devices equipped with TNC connectors.
